Carmen & Chad

I had so much fun photographing Carmen & Chad to announce their baby due June 2015! It was easy to photograph these laid-back future parents, and I can't wait to see their progress through the pregnancy and parenthood. Congrats Carmen & Chad!

A little about us.

Hello! We wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves and let you know what Seed & Stem Photography is all about.

Seed & Stem Photography focuses on maternity, birth, and newborn photography. We use a photojournalistic approach to capture those significant times in your life and create images that you can cherish forever. Another main goal of ours is to create a strong connection with our clients so we can provide the best photography experience possible.

Seed & Stem Photography was started by Krista Young and Monica Burgstiner. Both have previous experience with newborn photography and decided to join forces and start their own business.

I'm Monica Burgstiner!

I am originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan and moved to Savannah, Georgia to attend Savannah College of Art and Design. I graduated in 2013 with a BFA in Photography. My passion for photography started when I was a junior in high school and picked up my first film camera. I am inspired by the lives and stories of others and love capturing genuine emotion and significant moments. I am one of six children, have a cat named Kitty (original, I know), and recently married to a wonderful man named Lance.

Hi! I am Krista Young!

I am a wife, mother, and photographer. My very handsome husband, Austin, is an active duty soldier stationed at Fort Stewart, GA. Baylor is our super sweet and cute eleven year old kiddo. Cedric (our deaf Great Dane) and  Ruby (our chunky English Bulldog) are our four legged babies.
I absolutely have to have a cup of coffee before I do anything else in the morning. I can not sleep past 7a.m. (ever) and you best bet I will be in my pajamas and in bed no later than 8:30p.m. I am pretty much your normal working mom. Aside from taking pictures I like to read, run, cook, and hang out with my family. Before photography and presently I have worked for 12+ years in the obstetrics and gynecology field. While focusing my photography skills mainly on maternity, newborn, and birth shoots I very much enjoy capturing all of life's moments in a photo.Hope to capture your moment soon!

We hope you enjoy our work and we hope to be working with YOU soon!
